Mannheim Steamroller has put its own personal stamp on the Christmas Season.  If the tried and true sounds of carols we all know and love are leaving you just a few octaves short-You might consider tuning in for a listen.

Beginning in 1974 Chip Davis, composer and Jackson Berkey, on strings and producer set the Christmas music field on fire with Mannheim Steamroller, coined from a German musical pattern in which a crescendo part of a music passage rises above the baseline creating the very unique and vibrant sound has made Mannheim a household name and is responsible for over 28 million dollars in U.S. sales.

In 1984, they released Mannheim Steamroller Christmas and brought a new kind of Christmas repertoire to anything known or heard of before.  So, if Christmas spirit remains elusive, your Santa Baby just won’t rev into action and you are trying to get a revived sense of holiday festivities….Relief is at hand.

On Wednesday, November 20 2013 at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, North Carolina-Christmas opens.  The show is at 8 p.m. right in our downtown.  It would be a great time to start that Christmas shopping at some of our fine downtown shoppes and our our bed and breakfast is within walking distance to downtown.
