Temperate weather, completely awesome natural beauty and our beloved Asheville itself makes our city a natural choice for the site of the 2014 and 2015 Cyclo-Cross National Championships. Asheville cycling is everywhere you look from our town’s center to the forests surrounding Asheville. USA Cycling, the national governing body who bases out of Colorado Springs sent Kelli Lusk, the national events director, to Biltmore Estate for a visit and even the weather in Asheville offered the most benevolent of gifts as the 60 degree temperatures & sun laden sky presented on cue to appropriately host her visit. Biltmore is one of three potential locations being evaluated to host these events.
Our Asheville Bed and Breakfast, joins the rest of Asheville as we put our hopes, prayers and best Asheville welcome forward in hopes that our city, if chosen, would be the first in the Southeast to host this event. This coup would be another “Asheville first” and we would all enjoy the 5 day long event, the opportunity to show off our area and all it has to offer as we showcase this event. Further incentive- the economic boom to the area which could be worth a million or more.
