Welcome to At Cumberland Falls Bed & Breakfast Inn!

Tucked privately on a knoll, in an Asheville neighborhood fringed by stately trees, At Cumberland Falls Bed & Breakfast Inn welcomes our guests. A slate path, edged by green ferns, serves as escort to the front door. The pineapple fountain, an age-old sign of hospitality, ushers you to the front porch letting you know you’re home. Our historic, neighborhood setting offers each guest convenient access to Asheville NC’s most sought-after areas – A 15-minute walk to downtown, 3 miles to Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway- an easy 15 minutes.

Our turn-of-the-century house, on ¾ acre of beautifully tended gardens, has only six guest rooms. We are able to offer our guests the privacy that inspires romantic getaways and enhances celebrations of any kind. Our AAA-3 Diamond property specializes in casual elegance as each guest room offers its own special magic.

Our gardens are exceptional, encouraging relaxation and providing peace. Bright, colorful perennials and evergreens dot the landscape-Enjoy them and help us feed the Koi fish. The frequent, enthusiastic visits by our guests to the pond have given these fish a famous personality. They are behaving like dogs and will quickly make the swim to the side of the pond just for your personal attention.

Breakfast at the inn has developed quite a reputation among our guests both new and those returning. Setting an alarm clock is usually not required, as we find the fresh aroma of hot muffins or the tangy familiarity of bacon does the trick nicely. Three courses, freshly made, served by candlelight – our breakfast begins your bright new morning perfectly.

We have owned our inn and lived in Asheville for over 15 years. We love this city and whether you want to explore Biltmore, hike, antique, gallery hop or zip line over the trees, we are here to help you do as much or as little as you like. Our city has firmly secured its place as a destination in the southeast and has become the inspiration for an array of published articles showcasing its natural beauty, quality of life, fine craft brews, art and music. Followers of fine cuisine score too. The buzz is on!

Asheville is one of the few cities in the Southeast honoring their Great Depression debt after the stock market crash in 1929. The debt was hefty, taking nearly 50 years to satisfy. What began as a deficit quickly became an asset! The city could ill afford to tear down its old buildings not having the funds necessary to replace them. The end result became the city’s most important architectural asset, resulting in the largest display of Art Deco in the country, second only to the South Beach. From our City Hall, designed by Douglas Ellington, to the recently renovated Grove Arcade, visitors can enjoy a mix of new & eclectic architecture standing shoulder to shoulder with a profusion of Art Deco in every imaginable style.
